Installing exterior wall coatings in Cuffley

Project Description

The owners of this property in Cuffley, Hertfordshire, wanted it to have a sharp new image in keeping with houses in the surrounding area. So we gave the walls a facelift.

Wall Process

1. Preparation

Apply two-coat render to the brickwork on the lower part of the property to match the top half

2. Repair

Erect scaffolding to reach the top elevations and carry out repairs
Remove damaged render
Cut out cracks and reinforce with epoxy resin
Wire brush away all loose and flaking paint

3. Bag Rubbing

Brush a bag rubbing (PVA mortar mix) on to walls to stabilise the area and conceal any repairs

4. Primer Coat

Apply primer coat and allow to dry

5. Final Coat

Apply final coat of Andura Classic 21 wall coating in ‘Waterlily’ colour. What a difference!
